Fact of the day: This day in 1910, wireless was used for the first time to apprehend a criminal, Dr Crippen - who was escaping from UK. The ships captain spotted him and informed the authorities enabling him to be arrested.

Point to ponder: J.J. Thomson discovered the electron, and his student E. Rutherford discovered the proton, and in turn his student James Chadwick discovered the neutron.
