Wi-Fi Standards Infographic

My infographic shows the main Wi-Fi standards that are in use and have been used together with their highlight parameters of data of launch, speed, distance, bands used and WiFi Alliance number where appropriate.

Over the years there have been many Wi-Fi standards which have traditionally been designated by their IEEE standard number, i.e. IEEE 802.11ac and many others.

It's not always easy to relate these numbers to their performance in terms of the basic parameters such the the maximum speeds achievable, bands used and the like.

Now, or course, the WiFi Alliance has introduced their numbers like WiFi 6, WiFi 7 and so forth to make the different standards more accessible for the general public.

This infographic aims to bring together the basic information in an easy to understand summary.
